
Or Coco Poco Loco, for short. She has taken over our lives and seems happy to have done so. Cocohontas rules the place with an iron fist, but is easy enough to get along with when EVERYTHING is done according to her wishes. She loves the bag, and seems to go into a trance when Susan puts her in it. She doesn’t want to get out, even long after the ride is over.

Susan called about 9:00 this morning, she was on her way here to the ranch, but had found two young dogs on Highway 21, couldn’t get them in her car because it was already full with 4 of ours, and could I please come help her? Read the rest of this entry »

It was Friday evening, after work. Susan was on her way to the store. She could see the puppy along the side of the road, but the car behindf her couldn’t. She saw it happen in her rear-view mirror. Worse, after she hit the puppy, the driver kept right on going. You know Susan. She couldn’t just drive by and leave it laying there to die.

We’re not quite ready for her, but ready or not, she’s here. Meet Sydney.
Sydney is a throw-away. We were at the vet’s this morning when they got a phone call. The caller said they had seen someone throw a puppy out of their car about 1/4 mile from the vet clinic. The lady who took the call, named Sydney, told the caller they should go back and get the puppy, then call Animal Control to come get her.
